GLEN WAVERLEY GOLF COURSE

Public BBQ

A well-presented course kept in excellent condition, with mature trees, narrow fairways and fast, firm greens that roll true. Greenside bunkers on many holes make approach shots a genuinely strategic proposition. The venue itself is modern with ample parking, and there is a simulator room for lessons alongside a putting green for working outdoors on better days. The adjoining sports hub is new, with fast sand-dressed synthetic tennis courts. Staff are easy to deal with and the club has a pleasant community feel. The one recurring frustration is pace of play: with no marshal on course, rounds regularly stretch past four and a half hours, even playing as a single or a pair.
